Artist’s Statement:
This dark, moody lily pad pond captures the quiet magic of still water at dusk—when the world softens and reflections begin to blur the line between what’s seen and what’s felt. Layers of deep greens, inky blues, and shadowed neutrals cradle soft blooms of blush and white, floating like small moments of light in the hush of evening.
The brushwork moves between loose impression and gentle detail, creating depth and movement beneath the surface. Subtle reflections and softened edges invite the viewer to linger, as if the pond itself is breathing—holding secrets, memories, and calm within its darkened waters.
Framed in a vintage dark wood bamboo-style frame, this 22 x 28 inch canvas carries an old-soul elegance that contrasts beautifully with the organic flow of the paint. It’s a piece meant to ground a room—bringing serenity, introspection, and a quiet sense of wonder to any space.
On exhibit at La Posada Hotel, Laredo, Texas.
