The Butterfly Effect Green

That’s the idea behind my newest series: The Butterfly Effect.
I created three paintings of the exact same butterfly.
Same wings.
Same movement.
Same beginning.
But they don’t end up in the same place.
Because that’s what our decisions do.
One choice.
One encounter.
One yes.
One no.
One person we let in.
One person we walk away from.
And suddenly…everything is different.
The three backgrounds move from deep navy, to serene green, to vibrant purple—because the same person can take three completely different paths.
One can lead you to peace.
One to love.
One to success.
And another can lead you somewhere you never intended to go.
That’s the part of the butterfly effect that gets me.
The smallest things can create the biggest consequences.
And maybe that’s what I want you to feel when you look at these.
Not just a butterfly.
But a reminder:

Each butterfly is built with layers of metallic wax, gesso, oil, and gold leaf—then I let the gold burst out from the wings so it feels like they’re actually taking flight.
